Wade has 26 years of auditing, accounting, and tax experience. In 1999, he graduated from Missouri Southern State College and holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. He is licensed in Kansas and is a member of the Kansas Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is committed to knowing every client by name and providing the kind of personal attention you simply won't find at a larger firm.

Megan HoushCPA
Owner
Megan has 23 years of auditing, accounting, and tax experience. She graduated from Evangel University in Springfield, Missouri, in 2002 with a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting. Megan is licensed in Kansas and Missouri. Megan (Potocnik) is a native of Chanute. She moved away for several years to attend college and to gain accounting and professional experience. During her years away from Chanute, she also traveled to several countries around the world and spent two years living in the Republic of Georgia, formerly part of the USSR. After marriage, Wade and Megan spent two more years as missionaries in Georgia. While living there, they were active in numerous roles including (but not limited to) bookkeeping, leading Bible studies, teaching English, volunteering at a street children’s center, and assisting with a Bible translation project.

Hayden NewtonCPA
Staff CPA
Hayden joined the Housh & Housh team after earning his Master's degree in Accounting from Kansas State University in 2026, and he subsequently obtained his CPA license. He brings fresh perspective and up-to-date knowledge to the firm. Having grown up working in his family's small business, Hayden understands the challenges business owners face firsthand — from keeping the books in order to staying on top of tax deadlines. Hayden is a Chanute native having graduated from Chanute High School in 2022. Hayden and his wife, Preston, have one son, Bennett. They enjoy watching K-state games and spending time outdoors.

Tara Bilby
Staff Accountant
Tara is a key member of the Housh & Housh team, specializing in payroll processing and sales tax compliance. She ensures that client payrolls are accurate and on time, and that state and local sales tax filings are handled correctly. Tara's attention to detail and consistent follow-through make her an invaluable resource for the businesses we serve. Tara and her husband Chris have four energetic boys, Landen, Logan, Lawson & Lincoln. When they aren’t chasing the boys around in sports, they love to go camping as a family. When time allows, Tara also loves to work on improvement projects around the house.
